Our club is transitioning to new and younger leadership that is unfamiliar with the depth and wealth of knowledge, programs that FJMC offers. Most often people will view an "outsider" differently than an insider and will be more apt to listen and internalize what they have learned form said outsider. We also wanted many in our region to be able to take advantage by either attending in person or remotely through a Zoom session led by FJMC expert Allan Kahan.
Our objectives were threefold:

1. Provide training (FJMC and leadership skills) for the current Men's Club Board and Regional Attendees
2. Open discussion on ways to involve the younger generation
3. Involving our Community in our programs (Temple Beth El - reform - Sisterhood, JCC, Federation)

Self Assessment
We picked up several new members which have since joined our club executive board and two of them will be our new president and EVP as of the start of this convention. They bring with them new ideas, thoughts and energy so in that respect we succeeded beyond our expectations. Several of our existing executive committee members had been serving for years and were not bringing the necessary ideas to grow our club, bring in new programs and/or recruit new, younger members.
We approach the 2019-2020 year with an optimistic view of becoming more visible in our shul through new programs and more importantly a more modern view on marketing to the next generation
As enumerated above our biggest challenge was not programmatical but in reaching a younger demographic. Our marketing efforts were weak, inconsistent and not looked at by the under 40 crowd. With new leadership our existing leadership believes the influx of new ideas will stimulate future growth while still retaining what we brought to the table programmatically.
