The overall goal of the program was to do a collaborative program between our Men's Club and the Brotherhood at Beth El Synagogue, a reform shul in our area in more of a social setting. Golf is a major interest in North Carolina and the joint committee chairs wanted to leverage our love of golf and develop some camaraderie in a friendly, and competitive setting with the longer range goal of holding these events more frequently and concurrently evolve into a course environment as opposed to a range environment as we (hopefully) improve our golf games.
We have a wonderful opportunity for camaraderie and competition with Temple Beth El’s Brotherhood at Top Golf Charlotte on Sunday July 15 at 10:00 am. For the cost of $40.00 per person, we will enjoy three (3) hours of target golf at this beautiful location and a scrumptious buffet. There will be six (6) golfers per area and we will be side by side, so the socializing will be right around every corner.

Self Assessment
In our inaugural program under extremely hot conditions we drew about 25-30 people and developed/leveraged our relationships from our previous joint programs. We are currently planning additional events in hopefully less oppressive weather.
This event drew several people, some of whom were not club members and we spoke with them about what men's club is all about. That shows the value we can do by education of our members and non-members. Some became very involved in our club and shul.
This was a new and innovative program developed jointly with our reform counterparts going beyond a few men planning to play golf together. Community was involved as we drew from outside either club as we got the buzz out in Charlotte.
